Secure Force mobile app · Last updated: 12 August 2026

Secure Force is a private workforce app. It is issued by your employer — a security company — to its own guards and managers, and is not intended for the general public. It contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who we are

Secure Force is provided by SecureSight AI ("we", "us"). We build and operate the platform.

The security company that issued you your account — your employer — decides what the app is used for and is the data controller for the information described below. We operate the platform on their behalf as their data processor. If you want your data corrected or deleted, start with your employer; you can also contact us and we will act on their instruction.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what is needed to run shift attendance and patrol supervision. Every item below is used for app functionality — none of it is used for advertising or profiling.

DataWhy we collect itWhen
Precise location (GPS) To confirm you are physically at your assigned site when you check in or out (a "geofence" check), and to record a manager's patrol route between sites. Only while you are checking in/out, or while a patrol shift is running. Not collected when you are off shift.
Selfie photo To verify that the person checking in is the assigned employee, and to prevent buddy-punching. At shift check-in and check-out.
Face comparison result Where your employer has switched it on, the selfie you take is compared against the reference photograph your employer uploaded when creating your record, to confirm it is you. We store the comparison score and whether it matched — not a face template, not a biometric identifier, and nothing that can be used to search for you in any other photo. The comparison is one-to-one against your own reference photo only. We do not build or hold a face database. Only at shift start, shift end, and QR checkpoint scans, and only when your employer has enabled this feature.
Live location during an emergency If you raise an emergency alert, your location is shared continuously with the people responding — your site's supervisor, staff at your site, the closest manager on patrol, and the control room — so they can reach you. Only from the moment you raise an emergency until it is closed. It stops automatically on resolution.
QR checkpoint scans Records that you were physically at a specific checkpoint, with the location and time, as proof of patrol coverage. Each time you scan a checkpoint code.
Site visit photos and notes Managers can attach up to five photographs and written notes to a site inspection, recording the condition of a site for the client. Only when a manager files a site visit.
Name, employee ID, role To identify you, log you in, and show your assignments. Held on your staff record.
Work phone number and email Employment record and account contact. Held on your staff record.
Attendance, leave and patrol records Payroll, scheduling, and proof of service to our clients. Generated as you use the app.

Location in the background

While a manager is on an active patrol, the app records location in the background so the patrol route and site visits are captured even when the screen is off. This only happens during a patrol you have started yourself, and Android shows a persistent notification for the whole time it is running. Ending the patrol stops the tracking. The app does not collect your location outside of a shift or patrol.

Location during an emergency

The emergency alert button is the one case where your location is shared continuously rather than at a single moment. When you raise an alert, the people who can help are sent your position and it keeps updating while the emergency is open, so they can find you if you move or cannot speak. This starts only when you press the button, and it stops by itself as soon as the emergency is marked resolved. It is never started by anyone else, and it does not continue afterwards.

Face verification

Some employers require a selfie to be matched against your reference photograph before a shift can start or end. Where that is switched on:

Who can see your data

Your attendance, selfies and patrol records are visible to authorised administrators and supervisors at your employer. We share data with no one else, except:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored on servers we control, hosted with Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. Selfies are held in private storage and are not publicly accessible. Access is restricted to authorised staff.

How long we keep it

Attendance, leave and patrol records are retained for as long as you are employed and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep employment records. Selfies are retained with the attendance record they belong to. When a record is deleted by an administrator, it is removed permanently.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. To make a request, contact nathanaelcjohn@gmail.com.

You can withdraw location or camera permission at any time in your device settings. Please note that shift check-in and patrols cannot function without them, as the whole purpose is to verify presence at a site.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Login tokens are held in the device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).

Children

This app is for employed adults only and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
